Interested in Cat Shows!
Pedigree and HouseHold Pets are all welcome to the
Ottawa Valley Cat Show!.
Sept 2008, the OVCC held our Annual Ottawa Valley Cat Show
at the Nepean Sportsplex. Many many breeds were on hand for the public to personally meet. Sunday's events include two Parade of Breeds seminars
presented by then CCA President, Felicity Hawthorn. Felicity described in wonderful detail the origins
and uniqueness of each of the breed as she handled each individual cat on display.
In addition to the hugely successful Cat Show, The Ottawa Valley Cat Club
is also involved in many community activities. Several of our club members participate in the
Feline Frenzy Pet Therapy Program for the
Salvation Army Grace Manor residents. The seniors truly enjoy visiting with the cats as many of them had to leave
their own loved ones when they moved into their new home.
We also provide support in the Ottawa Area for the local cat community;
Parliamentary Cats,
Friends of Abandoned Pets,
and the Cat Rescue Network.
If you are a cat-owner, or just share our love for cats, perhaps you would
consider
joining our club to help support the annual Ottawa Valley Cat Show and
our local cat community. Membership forms are available on our
Members Page.
